Clyde, I’m very glad you shared your good news. Been worried about you ever since I heard about your cancer.
Maybe our paths will cross again in this world. “Live Long and Prosper” ole buddy…. Hope Ruth and I take a trip to Florida this winter.

I was on the Oglethorpe year1956=1957 . Did a cruse to the Med. I was one of six Army soldiers asigned to the ship. Would like to talk to anyone that remembers me. Thank you

For all that knew him, my brother, Roy C. Lightfoot Jr. passed away on June 26, 2010. He got out in 1968.

Wrote a book and used the last names of my shipmates as characters. It's called, "The Dragon Awakens." It's on Amazon, Barns and Noble wed sights. It is also on Kindle.
After leaving the NAVY, I still traveled all over the world Scuba Diving. I have retired as a GM/UAW Journeyman. I wrote computer programs to determine the dimensional integrity of the tooling and parts created from that tooling for GM Powertrain. I'm working on another book. :!cool:
